A new hope
As the US Patriot Act Nears the end of its abismal term The Bush administration is trying to have it renewed for another 5 years, The senate has rejeted a number of provisions of the patriot act (Slashdot) due to their infringement on citizens liberty. As I understand it, If a compromise is not reached by 12 31 05 the patriot act will be nothing more than a dark chapter in the history of the US. Happy Holidays everyone and a very happy new year to our neighbors to the south.
